MLK Park Receives Thousands of Dollars in Renovations

​Kennedy King, in partnership with the City of Indianapolis, Indianapolis Parks Foundation, and Indy Parks, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park on Tuesday, November 15. The park has undertaken nearly $600,000 in updates and renovations. The renovations began in April and include new playground equipment and a community shelter.

Fall 2017 Neighborhood Clean Up w/ Keep Indianapolis Beautiful

The Kennedy King Clean-up Committee won a clean up competition through Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, which resulted in more than 100 volunteers for our neighborhood clean up on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017. 

Kennedy King Places 2nd in Neighborhood Clean Up Competition

The Kennedy King Clean-up committee competed Nov. 4 in Keep Indianapolis Beautiful's 5x5 competition to be chosen as a 2017 focus neighborhood. Kennedy King got second place!!! This means KIB is partnering with us for the October 2017 fall clean-up which will provide anywhere from 200 to 300 volunteers for neighborhood clean-up initiatives that day. More details to come as the planning continues. We will still have our regular spring 2017 clean-up in April as well.
